DMM Group Talk Listserv

DMM Group Talk is a Groups.io email discussion forum for all professionals interested in exploring the Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment and Adaptation.

DMM Group Talk, an email discussion group for the DMM, is now available. The listserv, or Group, is an open-source community project and is free for any professional who is interested in online discussions about DMM news, theory, science, application, research, understanding the model, and for sharing training opportunities and DMM-related experiences. Click on this link to go to the sign up page:

The DMM, properly known as the Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment and Adaptation, was initially developed by Dr. Patricia Crittenden, and then expanded with the help of Dr. Andrea Landini and others. The DMM is built on a foundation of attachment theory and science, and incorporates many other disciplines to help explain self-protective strategies people use to gain protection from danger and comfort.

The DMM is promoted by the International Association for the Study of Attachment (IASA) and the Family Relations Institute (FRI). Membership in these organizations is not required to join the Group, and the Group is not affiliated with either of these organizations, nor with CSI. DMM Group Talk is an open-source community project for open discussions about the DMM where researchers, practitioners, and others who use and study the model are welcome to contribute, learn, and discuss.

DMM Group Talk is hosted on the Groups.io platform. Anyone interested in joining the Group (listserv) simply needs to sign up here. To avoid spam, applications need to be approved by Group moderators, who may request some sort of verification from you. The group offers a calendar, photo and file uploads, and a member directory where members can describe their services and geographic area. Group emails are sent to all members and are archived for later viewing, but can only be viewed by Group members, not by the general public, nor are they findable through Google or other internet searches.

For information about using DMMGroupTalk forum on the Groups.io platform, see the Welcome to DMM Group Talk – basic information post once you have joined the group.

DMM Group Talk is moderated by Mark Baumann, USA, and Aoife Bairead, IR, who may be contacted at DMMGroupTalk+owner@groups.io
