The DMM is short for Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment and Adaptation. The DMM was developed initially by Dr. Patricia Crittenden and supplemented by a host of additional attachment experts. The DMM is supported by the International Association for the Study of Attachment (IASA) and the Family Relations Institute (FRI).
From the view point of the Conflict Science Institute, DMM-AAI training provides exceptional value for helping legal professionals to understand conflict at a level far deeper than provided by any other program or model. For those who cannot qualify or take the DMM-AAI training, reading the training manual noted above, Assessing Adult Attachment, is dense and richly rewarding. Compared to other attachment models, the DMM offers a state of the art model, and exceptional clarity and detail into patterns of self-protective behavior and information processing. CSI offers DMM related training programs. Contact CSI for more information.
