Gordon Somerville will discuss his experience over the course of several years, of blind coding AAIs with the DMM for other people for a range of purposes. He will talk of the realities, the limitations, the mindset and the practical approaches involved in this kind of work. Given that it is likely that there will be other people present who use and/ or code DMM-AAIs in the course of their work, some lively discussion can be expected, in relation both to coding practice and to the use of the DMM-AAI in a range of professional contexts.
Professionals who code Adult Attachment Interviews with models other than the Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment and Adaptation (DMM) are welcome to join us. We can set up a second Coffee House session to share notes about the DMM and ABC+D approach to coding AAI’s (please let us know if you are interested).
Tuesday’s session A will be a live Zoom presentation and discussion led by Gordon. Session B will be a video replay of Tuesday’s session with a live follow up discussion.
