15 March 2022. What might be Vladimir Putin‘s DMM-attachment self-protective strategies? He seems to have high-C strategies, but how high? Is he also using A strategies? Are there strategy modifiers? What is the evidence for your arguments? What are the key indicators?

In the last several weeks, Putin has been at the center of our DMM Coffee House discussions. Many DMM’rs predicted the invasion of Ukraine based on his DMM-attachment patterns, prior history, and recent behaviors and statements. What were the indicators that allowed an accurate prediction of future danger?

How might we apply the learning lessons to an everyday bully or an everyday domestic violence situation to help us learn more about predicting danger, accepting the existence of danger, setting and holding boundaries, and helping the other manage their experience of danger. What are the self-protective strategies which prevent an accurate assessment of higher risk level or imminent harmful behavior? How might we better help people more quickly recognize the obstacles to effective self-protection in extreme cases.

How can we help our Russian, Ukrainian, Finnish, Baltic, Polish, Slovakia, Hungarian, Romanian and Moldovan colleagues?
Courtesy of Dr. Melanie Langer, here are links to transcripts of interviews with Putin, and also Russian Olympic ice skating coach Tutberidze. We can use these as part of our DMM assessment.

Lots of danger, lots of questions, lots of love and compassion for one another.
